About Macon Progress
Macon Progress is a youth operated project, conducted through the Tuskegee Youth Safe Haven of Macon County, AL. The Executive Director is Stanley J. Horn. The youth reporters, editors, producers and technicians are trained and supervised by Safe Haven staff and volunteers. The Summer Technology Teen Training program, conducted by the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine Nursing and Allied Health, has been the major training program for this project. This is under the guidance of Dean Tsegaye Habtemariam and Dr. Berhanu Tameru, Director of the Biomedical Information Management System. The overall purpose of the project is educational and to support community development, along with historical preservation.
