Ronald McDowell
Native son Ronald McDowell is an exceptional artist with works appearing throughout the U.S. One of his renown works is the cover for Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album. In addition to his displays throughout Macon County, Ronald appears to do sketches of people at various events during the year.
B.T.W. Tumblers
The Booker T. Washington Tumblers perform at events and in parades in the Macon County area. They are made up of B.T.W. High students and create dazzling acrobatics.

The Commodores
The Commodores were formed in at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama in 1967 as the Mystics, then the Jays, becoming the Commodores in 1969. All students at the Institute, the original line-up consisted of Lionel Richie, William King, Thomas McClary, Milan Williams, Ronald LaPread, and Walter "Clyde" Orange.

Lionel Richie grew up in Tuskegee, attended Tuskegee Institute and helped to create the Jays, that later became the Commodores. He worked with Kenny Rogers and then with Michael Jackson to create "We are the World". He is a Grammy winning artist with collaborations across the world of music.

The 7th Wonder is a popular band from the 70's and 80's, best known for the hits "The Tilt" and "For the Good Times". They are still performing and delighting audiences.
